About Us

Bellyarra’s purpose is to “make an impression”. Each hand carved piece is a unique one of a kind creation of craftsmanship and artistry with its own story, bringing to life treasured memories, loves and passions. To own a Bellyarra is to leave an impression on others through story.

Founded by the prodigy of leather-workers, each piece painstakingly captures the generations of skilled leather craftsman and artisans who came before them. A historic craft of artisans, passed down through the ages from Master to apprentice.

Bellyarra is the combination of two locations on the eastern seaboard of Australia.

Bellimbopinni- A place meaning ‘Bend in River’ in the Aboriginal Traditional Owners langauge of the Dunghutti nation. Bellimbopinni is located on the Macleay River, where the river has two sharp bends.

Yarrahapinni- Is a mountain meaning ‘Koala Rolling’. It is derived from ‘Yarriabini’ in the Aboriginal Traditional Owners language of the Gumbayngirr nation, which comes from the story of how the mountain came to be. The mountain overlooks the sea to the east, the Macleay Valley to the south and the Nambucca Valley to the north. You can hear the story of Yarriabini here.
